About

Our Story

A small dream,
and a really good lake.

Some Beaches Food started with a simple idea: the food at Bear Lake should be as memorable as the lake itself. Here’s how it’s gone so far.

Some Beaches catering setup at Bear Lake
The short version

A simple dream, five times bigger.

Founded in April 2020 during the uncertainty of the COVID pandemic, Some Beaches started as a simple dream: create one of the best food experiences in Bear Lake.

With a background in cooking, recipe development, and sauce creation through Chad’s Raspberry Kitchen since the age of 10, food has always been at the center of what we do. What began as a small drive-in with a limited menu quickly grew through hard work, creativity, and an obsession with quality into one of Bear Lake’s favorite places to eat.

Today, Some Beaches has grown to more than five times the size of our original operation and has become known not only for burgers, shakes, and unforgettable food, but also for reliable, high-quality catering. From family reunions and corporate retreats to multi-day lake events and private gatherings, we’ve catered hundreds of events throughout Bear Lake.

As an owner-operated business, we focus on delivering incredible food, fair pricing, and personal service. Our mission has always stayed the same: Sexy Food. Family Memories. We want every meal to look amazing, taste unforgettable, and become part of the memories people make while visiting Bear Lake.

What we care about

Three things we don’t cut corners on.

01

Recipes with history

Chad’s Raspberry Kitchen has been making sauces, shakes, and dressings since age 10. Every dish at Some Beaches is built on that obsession with flavor.

02

Hand-crafted every shift

Hand-smashed quarter-pound patties, slow-roasted pulled pork, real-fruit shakes thick enough to lose a straw in, and a new featured item every season.

03

Owner-operated

Every event, every shift — run by the people who own the place. Fair pricing, personal service, and a phone that rings to a real human.

How we got here

A short timeline.

2020

The first season

Some Beaches opens in April 2020 as a small drive-in with a limited menu. Pandemic uncertainty doesn’t stop us — we make it through season one on hard work, good will, and Chad’s Raspberry Kitchen recipes.

2022

Catering takes off

Word travels around the lake. First weddings and family reunions roll in. We start saying yes to corporate retreats and multi-day events.

2024

Five times bigger

The operation has grown to more than five times its original size. Hundreds of catered events under our belt, 250+ reviews across every major platform, and the raspberry shake has its own fan club.

2026

A new chapter

New menu, new website, and a bigger investment in year-round catering across the whole Bear Lake region.
